OUR FOUNDER

My name is Victoria and I help entrepreneurs use the law to their advantage, so that they can thrive and grow the business of their dreams, without worrying about the scary legal unknowns that can easily wipe out everything they’ve worked so hard for.

But, I don’t just work with brilliant entrepreneurs like yourself, I’ve been one myself since 2003. And because I am one of you, I get you. And because I get you, I believe that:

You can outsource the legal work, but you’re the BOSS and you cannot outsource the legal knowledge. Every business owner must be at least somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to the legalities and formalities associated with launching and operating their business.

I know, I know… this stuff sucks! It’s complicated, super boring, and you’ve probably got better things to do… but you know what sucks more? … lawsuits, fines, jail… losing it all!

But enough with all the alarmist stuff - what about all the benefits? When you have even the most basic business law knowledge, you can make that knowledge work to your ultimate advantage!

You should not be left to your own devices when it comes to protecting your business. The appeal of LegalZoom and all those other legal DIY websites is not lost on me. Maybe you’re just starting out and you’re dying to do things the right way, but you’re on a limited budget, or maybe you’re just a total Type-A business owner who needs to have their hand in every aspect of their business (like me).  I understand that sometimes the DIY option may seem like your only option.

And believe me, you do not need to sell me on the merits of “Googling it” when it comes to, well… anything!

But, it all goes back to point #1 – every business situation is unique, and unless you’re a seasoned business owner (and even they defer to their advisors), it’s really difficult to know if what you’re reading and doing is: (a) correct (b) up-to-date and (c) necessary for your business.

And those who don’t know, end up paying twice…

The traditional law firm model does nothing for entrepreneurs. The lack of transparency with billable hours, the absence of hand-holding, the long product turn-over times, the inability to get answers when you need them - it just doesn’t work.

It’s possible to have your cake and eat it too (and I know a thing or two about cake)! It’s possible to have a lawyer that will:

  • Never let you get away with not knowing what you need to know to grow a wildly successful business;

  • Be available to support and nurture you throughout your entrepreneurial journey; and

  • Handle your legal needs in a quick, competent, and cost-effective way, so that you can focus on doing what you do best… running your company and making bank!

OTHER FUN

FACTS ABOUT ME

  • I live in New York City with my husband, our 5-year-old “princess/astronaut” (depends on the day) daughter, and our crazy dog, Olive (a/k/a my “pawralegal”).

  • I will never say “no” to cake (or any dessert) … unless it has raisins in it (ew!), in which case I will pick them out, but I won’t be happy about it!

  • I love all things Disney.

  • I am terrified of clowns.

  • When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling the world, gardening, cooking, baking, friending and following every cute and funny animal on Facebook and Instagram, and binge-watching American Greed on CNBC.
